Britons can snap up a free \u00a3205 by opening one of HSBC\u2019s\u00a0new multi-currency accounts – and they don\u2019t need to switch banks.<\/p>\n

The cash is granted in two instalments: \u00a3125 initially and an additional \u00a380 if the account remains open until April 2024.<\/p>\n

With this offer, people can open a current account without switching current accounts and get the \u00a3125.<\/p>\n

They can grab another \u00a380 if they make a minimum of five payments using their Global Money multi-currency debit card by April 21 2024, which can also be used in the UK.<\/p>\n

The banking giant is also offering a prize draw to new customers who open both an Advance current account and a Global Money Account.<\/p>\n

How to claim the \u00a3205 bonus?<\/h3>\n

New customers need to open an HSBC Advance Account and deposit \u00a31,500 within the first 60 days.<\/p>\n

To be eligible for the Advance Account \u2013 which is a fee-free current account \u2013 they’ll need to be 18 or over and qualify for an optional arranged overdraft of at least \u00a31,000.<\/p>\n

Make at least five debit card payments and open an HSBC Global Money Account via the app \u2013 again within the first 60 days.<\/p>\n

To qualify for either bonus, they can\u2019t have held or opened an HSBC or a First Direct current account since October 1, 2018.<\/p>\n

The \u00a3125 bonus will be paid into one’s HSBC Global Money Account 20 days after if they meet all the requirements above and qualify for it.<\/p>\n

The \u00a380 incentive will be paid into the same account next year, between May 1 and May 8, 2024.<\/p>\n

The Global Money account allows people to hold money in 18 different currencies and make payments in those currencies, plus they can make transfers to over 200 countries in more than 50 currencies.<\/p>\n

The prize draw will take place on May 29, 2024.<\/p>\n
