Clean It, Fix It: Maxine reveals how best to remove toilet limescale<\/h3>\n

Limescale is a hard, chalky substance mainly made up of calcium carbonate. It is a common problem in areas with hard water, i.e. water with high dissolved mineral content.<\/p>\n

Once limescale builds it can turn a funny colour. The colours can vary from off-white to a range of greys and pink or reddish browns.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In addition to being hard to clean and not so pleasing to the eye, it can cause serious damage to plumbing and heating components.<\/p>\n

A Mrs Hinch fan has come up with a great solution to banish the grim stains without any scrubbing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Posting on the Hinch Army Cleaning Tips Facebook group, one woman shared how she was able to remove stubborn brown limescale from her toilet in minutes.<\/p>\n

Jacquline Hill wrote: \u201cPlease don’t judge! This is an absolute godsend. In the past, I used normal bleach, lower-brand toilet cleaner and many other things to remove the limescale, but nothing worked until I tried and tested this.<\/p>\n

\u201cI drained most of the toilet water first, I poured this [Domestos Zero Limescale Toilet Cleaner] inside my toilet and left for 10 minutes before flushing. Very pleased with myself.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe toilet bowl is now sparkling white and there are no more traces of limescale.\u201d<\/p>\n
