A MOTORS expert has revealed a hidden button that can help you park with ease.

Tim Alcock explained how you can use your key fob to help your car fit into tight spaces.

Tim, a spokesperson for LeaseCar UK praised the trick as a "practical" method for parking in crowded bays.

He told The Express: "Some modern cars allow the driver to fold wing mirrors in, from standing outside their vehicle.

"This little-known hack is activated by holding down the lock button on the key fob for several seconds until the wing mirrors fold in.

"Although the motion may differ on various car models, this feature is especially practical when parking on a busy road or in a tight space."

You can check if your particular motor has the useful function by taking a look in your owner's manual.

However, many cars only have their wing mirrors fold in automatically when you lock them with the engine off.

While useful in preventing damage, this does not necessarily help drivers fit into tight spaces in the first place.

Drivers should also be aware that the position of your wing mirrors can let thieves know that your car is unlocked.

Always make sure to lock up even if you are just dipping out for a minute or two.

The wing mirror tip has taken social media by storm and has been shared widely over YouTube and TikTok.

Commenters were amazed by the simple trick.

One wrote: "Had my car for over a year and just found this out."

Another added: "I nearly bought a 3rd party plugin device to make them close automatically when I locked the car but now I know I can do it from the key there's no need."

It comes after a beloved car dealership closed its showroom to move to an even bigger new location.

Meanwhile, residents living near the UK's "most dangerous crossing" explained how they took matters into their own hands to prevent accidents.

</picture>ROAD RAGE
