TOYOTA drivers have been left baffled after an expert revealed a hidden button inside doors which stop the annoying beeping sounds when a car is parked.<\/p>\n

Toyota master diagnostic technician, AMD, revealed the staggering discovery to stunned followers in a video uploaded to YouTube.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

Posting on The Car Care Nut account, the technician covered some of the annoying sounds that the modern Toyota and Lexus models make.<\/p>\n

This included a repetitive, high-pitched beeping that occurs when a Smart Key model is parked.<\/p>\n

Smart Key drivers will notice that as soon as they open their doors after parking, the beeping will begin.<\/p>\n

But AMD solved the issue for those who have been left tearing their hair out by revealing how it can be turned off.<\/p>\n

Located on the inside of the front passenger door is a small round button.<\/p>\n

If you press this after the beeping begins, it will soon turn it off.<\/p>\n

This can then allow the driver to sit inside their car when the engine is off and the doors are open without being driven insane.<\/p>\n

Speaking in the video, AMD said: "To stop the beeping, you can just close the door and re-open it.<\/p>\n

"But if you don't want to do that, you can actually just reach down to the courtesy switch.<\/p>\n

"This is what gets pushed to let the car know that the door has closed or opened.<\/p>\n

"If you push it and let it go, the beeping will stop."<\/p>\n

But it isn't the only thing that can happen if you press the button.<\/p>\n

If the car is off at the same time, then pushing the courtesy switch will also lock the steering wheel.<\/p>\n

AMD adds that, even though the beeping is annoying, it is just reminding you that your steering wheel is unlocked and your car is still not shut off completely.<\/p>\n

"You have to take the key with you and close the door," he said.<\/p>\n

"Then it will finish powering off and your steering wheel will lock.<\/p>\n

"Now the car is ready to be locked and walked away from."<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, experts have claimed that eight little-known driving offences could cost you up to \u00a35,000 if you're not careful in the rain.<\/p>\n

The AA polled 12,000 drivers – almost all of whom admitted to breaking the rules.<\/p>\n
