Watch as driver cuts in front cars at roundabout missing them by inches… but viewers are divided on who's to blame | The Sun

THIS is the shocking moment a driver cuts across lanes and narrowly misses other cars by inches.

In the terrifying dash cam footage, a motorist in a roofing van tries to get into the left-hand lane on a busy Leicester road.

After avoiding a near-crash, the driver astonishingly does the same thing again while on the crowded roundabout.

Just inches away from smashing into another van, the motorists were forced to emergency brake, sparking chaos on the road.

Meanwhile, traffic further behind was left swerving into another lane, to prevent ramming into the halted cars in front.

After being uploaded on TikTok by @exposedukdashcams, people in the comment section were horrified by the driving.

One wrote: "Why do they think indicators are a right to pass as soon as they put them on?"

"What annoys me is he could have just gone around the roundabout, it's not hard and it's certainly safer than pushing in," penned another.

"Disgusting driving by someone who needs a licence for their job," agreed a third.

But, others offered more sympathy to the shamed van driver.

"Dash cam driver at fault," argued one viewer.

"Both should be banned from driving," suggested someone else.

A third commented: "You jerk, gentle braking and he gets in."

Most people however were on the side of the dash cam driver and were baffled as to why the van motorist didn't pull into the large space behind.

This comes as other terrifying accidents and near-misses have been caught on camera.

One video showed a teenager's BMW skid out of control "at more than 120mph" and hit a traffic cop – who made a miraculous escape.

Plus, this was the moment a woman caused a head-on crash while trying to overtake a lorry.

The footage was captured on the HGV’s sideview camera during the smash incident on Standing Stane Road, East Wemyss, Fife.
