A TRULY shocking video has captured the moment a driver reverses after a cyclist in anger, then runs over a dog.
The video, uploaded to YouTube on the Road.cc channel, is a horrible reminder that road rage is extremely dangerous.
The video is shot using a camera mounted on a bicycle, which is making its way along a narrow country road in North Yorkshire.
Around a minute into the footage, the rider can be heard shouting at a Ford Kuga SUV that he feels is too far over and might hit him.
The Ford is seen passing the cyclist and upon hearing the shouts, immediately stops and begins reversing.
It's not clear what the driver is trying to do, but they start to catch the cyclist at an alarming rate.

But just as it looks like the SUV will catch the cyclist, a quadbike appears on the left of the video.
The quadbike has been forced onto the verge by the SUV and a dog traveling on the back of it is flung off as it swerves.
Sadly the dog is thrown under the wheels of the Ford Kuga.
The Ford driver immediately stops the car and the cyclist also comes to halt, then walks back towards the scene of the accident.

While the incident has enraged people in the video's comments section online, the opinion of the police was different.

“Their response, in a telephone call, was ‘no traffic offences were committed’ and that they would take no action.
“Briefly, they described my shouting ‘watch out’ as an oncoming wide SUV passed me at a speed I felt was too fast for a single-track country lane as ‘road rage’ and a contributory factor in the driver then reversing at speed towards me."
