Singer Katy Perry gave an interview to Extra TV where she spoke about her excitement in the lead-up to King Charles’s Coronation. The singer also gave some insight into which royal property she’ll be staying in when she performs at the ceremony.
Katy said: “They said I was allowed to stay at Windsor Castle which I’m really excited for.
“I might be posting a lot because I’m going to be in a castle for real – this is wild!”
Windsor Castle has about 1,000 rooms and 484,000 square feet of space. The building is approximately 900 years old.
The royal weddings of Queen Elizabeth’s grandchildren, such as those of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, have all taken place inside the castle.

Growing up, the late Queen spent time there with her parents, King George VI and Queen Mary, as well as her sister Princess Margaret.
Following the coronavirus pandemic, the late monarch and her husband Prince Philip spent a lot of time at Windsor Castle.
The former Duke of Edinburgh was even buried there at St George’s Chapel in 2021.
As opposed to her later years, the Queen formerly considered Buckingham Palace her primary residence, only travelling to Windsor for special events like Easter and Royal Ascot.

Windsor Castle’s interiors feature elaborate walls, vintage furniture, and historic artwork in various rooms.
There are several items from the Royal Collection Trust on display, and the castle is said to contain more than 400 clocks.
Windsor Castle, which housed the late Queen and frequently hosts official events and banquets, is a functioning castle.
King Charles hosts heads of state and conducts investitures in the great State Apartments of the castle, and the Grand Reception Room is breathtaking.

The popular royal wedding location St George’s Chapel is also situated on the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The Order of the Garter is headquartered in St George’s Chapel, and at the yearly Garter Day Service, royal members of the Order attend.
The ancient apartments constructed for King Charles II and his wife Queen Catherine can also be toured by guests at Windsor Castle, which is frequently open to the public.
Additionally, visitors can see Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, a complex entity made for the Queen’s maternal grandmother.
The house has a tiny library, electricity, hot and cold running water, and working lifts.
