A WOMAN who sleeps in her car has revealed the top trick she uses to stay warm during winter.

However, she has admitted that it won't always work for everyone if they do not have metal frames around their windows.


Nonetheless, solo traveller Felicia revealed in a social media video that she uses magnetic window coverings to help insulate and keep her car warm.

Uploading to TikTok, Felicia was responding to another user who wanted to know how she could keep herself and her dog warm in the car.

As an experienced traveller who has spent many nights in her car, Felicia was able to share her top tip of avoiding the cold.

Felicia added that she got the back and front set of magnetic window coverings for around $30 (£24) off Amazon.

The handy insulators are also conveniently easy to store as they "fold up super small."

However, Felicia did concede that they might not work for everyone.

She said: "Unfortunately this does only work if you metal (on your windows). If you have plastic, it won't."

The car owner also revealed that she uses a zero degree sleeping bag to fight off the cold, describing it as "queen-sized."

In the comments section, Felicia said it is "the best investment if you're somewhere cold."

However, this is more on the pricey side, with Felicia purchasing hers for a hefty $150 (£123).

Elsewhere, a savvy van repairman has urged drivers not to panic over broken heaters as they can be easy to fix.
