Wanna make a Gen Xer feel ancient? Tell them the first season of The Real World—a series in which seven strangers were picked to live in a New York City loft, stop being polite and “start getting real”—was filmed 30 years ago. Yes, three-0. Time marches on.
And since during the past year we haven’t spent enough time sitting around a house, Paramount+ (the streaming service formerly known as CBS All Access) is letting you watch other people do it by bringing back the original Real World cast for a limited reunion series.

What is The Real World: Homecoming about?
Kevin, Julie, Becky, Norman, Heather, Andre and Eric are moving back into the Soho loft where they filmed the first Real World season 30 years ago. Paramount+ is being tight-lipped about what happens when the roomies reunite, but the teaser trailer shows us that being on the granddaddy of reality shows ripens you like a fine wine. You’ll have to watch to see how the cast’s various beefs have aged.
