Location, Location, Location has returned to Britons’ screens for a new season. The property market has experienced a boom over the last few months thanks to the stamp duty holiday and lockdown. Homeowners have spent more time at home in lockdown which has seen many change their home priorities.
The second episode of series 35 saw property experts Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer try and find homes for two couples; one looking for more space and the other whose wish list didn’t match their budget.
During the show, Kirstie said she would be taking questions from Twitter users wanting to know more about the show.
She said on Twitter: “Ask me anything about the show, I’ll stay on Twitter for the hour.”
The tweet was inundated with responses from fans of the show.
One question, which Kirstie re-tweeted, asked whether the property show presenter agreed with a “new thing” estate agents are doing.
The user asked: “How much do you hate/agree with agents not showing houses to people who haven’t sold their own? Seems to be the new thing.”
Kirstie responded: “Hate it, hate it, hate it.”
The tweet gained over 100 likes as fans quickly shared their own stories.

One user said: “We were told by several estate agents that due to Covid regulations we couldn’t view anything unless under offer or sold.”
Another replied: “I’m currently on the market and none of the local agents will allow me to view any property until I’m under offer.
“It’s chicken and egg. I don’t want to waste people’s time if I don’t sell but if I like somewhere I have a better idea of what price I can accept for mine.”
Another frustrated Twitter user said: “This is why I haven’t sold my house!
“So annoying, my estate agent won’t let anyone view my house who hasn’t sold theirs!
“Been on the market since mid-January unsold!
“I phoned the agent today and told them to change their policy!
“It’s got three bedrooms, three bathrooms 11m mooring, two terraces, big rooms and fab Marina views!”
Another replied: “We’ve had the same. Seen our dream house but told if ours not sold/under offer we couldn’t view it….”
However, some comments said allowing people to view properties without them having sold their house is a “waste of time”
A user said: “I’m sorry but having recently sold my house, the viewings without the prospective buyer having sold were a waste of everyone’s time.
“I would ask the estate agent not to allow a viewing if they weren’t proceedable if I sold again.”
Location, Location, Location will air again next Wednesday at 8pm on Channel 4
