ROCKSTAR games has just confirmed a new version is coming for one of the best-selling games of all time.
Gamers are thrilled to be able to play this game after its sequel's huge success.
Red Dead Redemption 2 became one of the best-selling games of all time after it was released in 2018.
Rated a 10/10 game, people loved exploring the vast open world of the wild west.
This had people interested in the first game in the series, to which Red Dead 2’s story serves as a prequel.
However, as it was originally released only for PS3 and Xbox 360, there aren’t many ways to play it on modern systems.

The original Red Dead Redemption will launch on Nintendo Switch, as well as PlayStation 4 and PS5 as soon as next week.
People will be able to download the digital version from Thursday, August 17, 2023, which will be playable on all three systems.
A physical release is scheduled for later this year on October 13, 2023, and both versions come with the Undead Nightmare DLC.
On the Nintendo Store we can see that the digital version for the Switch is £39.99 ($49.99), and it is likely that the PlayStation versions will be similar.

Rumours first surfaced that Red Dead would be making a comeback after a new rating was discovered in South Korea.
However, this is the first time that it has been officially announced, and the first time we’ve seen a solid release date.
Don’t expect too much of an update from the original for the new systems.
This version of Red Dead Redemption isn’t a remake or a remaster, but rather a straight up port.
The PS3 version of RDR was available via PlayStation Plus, but it was removed from the service in October 2022.
Xbox owners are the only players that currently have access to the original game, as the Xbox 360 version is available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility.
You can purchase it now on the Xbox online store for just £24.99 ($29.99) making it cheaper than the Nintendo version.
However, if you don’t have a Xbox, you’ll have to wait until next week to dive into the game.
