GOOGLE fans have uncovered a secret game hidden in the latest version of Android software.

The Android 10 update landed on some smartphones yesterday – and is hiding a Nonogram puzzle deep in the settings.

The game is called a Nonogram, which is a pretty tricky grid-based puzzle game.

You'll have to fill in cells on the grid to reveal a hidden picture.

In Google's version, you're trying to reveal images related to Android, as first uncovered by gadget boffins at 9to5Google.

But you probably won't just stumble across this game, so follow our guide below to find it.

How to unlock Android 10 puzzle game

First, make sure you've installed the latest Android 10 software update.

This is currently only available to Google Pixel phones, but will be rolling out to other models in the coming weeks.

Once you're updated, follow these steps:

  • Open your Settings
  • Tap the About Phone section
  • Tap Android Version
  • Next, tap Android Version 10 multiple times very quickly
  • Then double-tap on the '1' in the Android 10 logo and it will rotate
  • It also becomes draggable, so rotate and drag it to place it through the '0'
  • The goal is to create a 'Q' – Android Q was the codename for Android 10
  • Then press the Android logo once more time and the Nonogram game will launch

There may be other secrets hidden in Android 10 that haven't been unlocked yet.
